Alex Jones Gets Sued For Sandy Hook

Newtown families have filed suit against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his media companies like InfoWars for perpetuating false narratives about the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting.

The families of six victims and one first-responder say Jones maintaining his baseless conspiracies about the attack and urging others to follow suit has resulted in their further victimization as they “have faced physical confrontations and harassment, death threats, and a sustained barrage of harassment and verbal assault on social media.”

In the lawsuit, they argue Jones launched a “Sandy-Hook-based business model,” meaning Jones and his companies use “fabrication, propagation, and amplification” to spread “conspiracy-minded falsehoods” about Sandy Hook and other tragedies. The effort taps into an audience’s “paranoia, social anxiety, and political discord” that in turn generates views, which increases ad and sales revenue.

Jones’ website offers products that are oftentimes promoted as solutions to the very issues he discusses. “In other words, the Jones defendants concoct elaborate and false paranoia-tinged conspiracy theories because it moves product and they make money,” the lawsuit says.

The 39-page complaint, filed in a Connecticut state court last week, lists more than two dozen times Jones, under the guise of a journalist, claimed the Sandy Hook shooting — that claimed the lives of 20 first-graders and six educators — was a hoax oftentimes saying the government staged or fabricated the incident to advance gun control. He also repeatedly accused victims’ families of being crisis actors.

This is the fourth defamation lawsuit against Alex Jones this year. In April, two other Sandy Hook families sued Jones for his truther narratives. Jones was named in another by a Massachusetts’ man whom Jones misidentified as the gunman in February’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

The Newtown families are seeking damages that exceed $15,000. Relief includes monetary and punitive damages plus court costs and attorneys’ fees.

Hi Rick: I’ve often wonder if Jones is a plant of the one world government control freaks to make anyone that doesn’t go along with what the controlled MSM puppets look like fools. If he is who he says he is and stands for truth, then he should be absolutely sure that he can back it up. I never put anything out that’s just my opinion on serious issues unless I say it’s my opinion. As for the plan for “World Conquest” I’ve only used the words taken from the books of those ideologues who have boasted about their plan. And words from famous Americans such as Washington, Jefferson, Franklin all the way to JFK. Here is a quote from General Douglas MacArthur: “I am concerned for the security of our great nation, not so much because of any threat from without; but because of the insidious forces working from within” this great general should know as they blocked him in every way and put out lies after his service. Here is the last American president that said any ill words against these people, do and die. “There is a conspiracy in this country to enslave every man woman and child, before I leave this high and noble office I intend to expose this plot” president John F Kennedy He also said that secret societies were repugnant to him. General Patton was going to expose the Vermin in his day, no doubt these same Vermin were behind his murder. Today there are sites like Snopes that try to convince people that these are lies, yet many of the boasts written by these ideologues have come to pass, mere coincidences, sure the odd makers would say it would be like 1 with enough zeros to go to the Sun and back of them to be a coincidence.

There’s a lot to like about Jones IF he’s shooting straight. Someone needs to ask the questions and do the research.

Sandy Hook is a hoax that school hadn’t been in use .Then there’s all these other mass shootings all done with an AR15 style weapon that’s a signature of one shooter or government wet work team . here is another point at sandy hook what happened to the rest of the children we never saw and then there’s the police photos of the inside of the school think about this when were all the lockers removed because there weren’t any in the photos but you could see were they had been removed from the school in crime scene photos why were class rooms cleared of desks in those crime scene photos just not any kind of police work I have ever saw

What Stands out in my mind is the MEDIA the day it happened was talking to witnesses and survivors who OPENLY STATED he was using two hand guns to commit the crime.

Several hours later a RIFLE was reportedly found BEHIND THE SEAT in the vehicle he arrived in and suddenly all we hear about is how an AR 15 was used and the long list of MEDIA FICTION about the low power semi-auto target/hunting gun and the usual FALSE allegations against the lawful owners of over 250+ million guns who have never used them in such crimes nor have ever considered doing so being to blame for the crime.

There is absolutely no doubt that a suitably malleable Leftist judge and jury can be assembled to railroad Mr. Jones into prison, U.S. Constitution and laws notwithstanding. You don’t have to like or support Alex Jones to see that this is a given.

Yep, kangaroo courts are not unknown in this country.

I am not a Psychologist, but took a lot of classes long ago as I lived across the street from the college, tuition was really inexpensive, and I could get part time jobs as a student in summer school. One point made in clinical and counseling classes was that before diagnosing paranoia one should be certain that there isn’t a real threat to the patient.

    …The symptoms are identical.
